Activities

In my childcare setting I want children to have fun! This helps to improve their social skills and encourage creative expression. I will make sure that all children have a variety of activities readily available to them.

Children will be given appropriate activities for their individual needs. I will offer all children a wide variety of play and learning opportunities to support and stimulate their social, physical, intellectual, communication and emotional development.

Services

Children learn when they are in a safe and caring environment where they are stimulated through play.

Babies and young children develop best when they are in a caring relationship with an adult. A baby will learn to walk faster when they have a safe pair of arms to walk towards and learn to talk, when they have an adult listening and responding to them.
I will strive to provide your child with an environment that will be caring, fun and stimulating. I will plan my play in line with the EYFS. (Early Years Foundation Stage)

I will provide activities that support the 6 areas of learning and development in accordance with the EYFS:
Personal, Social and Emotional Development
Communication, Language and Literacy
Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy
Knowledge and Understanding of the World
Physical Development
Creative Development

The activities and toys and learning resources available to each child will be age and ability appropriate.

Outings

I have a fully insured car so we often go out to mums and tots, soft play, childminder pop ins and days out; so we are not just at home all day.

In the summer, children must be supplied with hats and sun cream. They will travel in my car, with age appropriate safety restraints.
I will always speak to the children before an outing about road safety and talking to strangers. I encourage children to hold hands and walk nicely together whilst out.
